For the past decade, the Fresh Stop has continuously been recognised as one of the top 5 stores in the country. In 2018, the shop won Store of the Year.

I served as part of the FreshStop Exco from 2015 – 2023.

I was responsible for running the entire site, managing approximately 60 employees. I oversaw the day-to-day runnings, all budgets and GPs, overseeing all shop and admin staff as well as managers and overall site performance. I ensured health and safety requirements were met. I ensured QPRO requirements were maintained and we achieved nothing less than 95%.

I was responsible for continuous staff training, and ensuring firefighting and First Aid requirements were maintained.

2007 – 2012
National Sales Manager – The Blenders Company  

I provided strategic oversight of house brands for tea and coffee for the Shoprite/Checkers group, SPAR group and Pick n Pay accounts, along with the development of new products. I was responsible for ensuring our sales agents around the country implemented the various planograms and ensured our product distribution was implemented and maintained. The position involved national travel overseeing various buyers and regional sales agents.

2002 – 2007
National Account Manager – Sara Lee Household & Body Care

I was responsible for overseeing the entire Shoprite/Checkers and OK Foods account.

I oversaw various buyers, tying up national and regional promotions.

I ensured that our sales agents were seen after each buyers’ meeting to ensure the various promotion activity was appropriately actioned and implemented.

I was responsible for finalising trade terms.

I ensured that all planograms were implemented and that our pricing strategy was carried out as per agreement.

1997 – 2002
National Account Manager – Tiger Brands Culinary (Tiger Brands Group)

I was responsible for the entire SPAR Group Account. I met with buyers in each region monthly to ensure that the Tiger Brands strategy and SPAR strategy aligned and were implemented by our dedicated sales force. I trained the sales force to ensure accurate activity was executed.

I was responsible for tying up national and regional promotional schedules and for securing annual trading term agreements.

1995 – 1997

I set up the region for Cape Oil Products, a division of Tiger Brands, dealing with perishable and grocery items.

I opened the regional accounts with all major supermarkets as well as wholesale and other independent retailers.

I appointed sales agents and ensured our strategies were aligned and all sales agents were trained on the products and understood our various requirements.

1991 – 1994
